St Mary's Church

West Chiltington

A Village Church for the Village

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart

and with all your soul

and with all your mind and with all your strength . . .

Love your neighbour as yourself.

There is no commandment greater than these.”

A warm welcome

We are a small church with a big heart and a faithful congregation,

set at the centre of a beautiful village within West Sussex.

God loves you for being you, God created you as a unique, special, individual

we’d absolutely love to welcome YOU and your family to St Mary’s with open arms.

We shall help your spirit soar, your heart to sing with joy and your soul shall find rest.

You will come to know that you are Redeemed by God's love and grace through his Son Jesus Christ.

Mental Health Policy

MENTAL HEALTH POLICY 2020

We the PCC of St Mary's West Chiltington adopt this Mental Health policy.

The policy will be renewed annually by the PCC.

Advised by Elle Weaver who is the mental health Facillitator for ' Together in Sussex'

(joint venture between Diocese of Chichester and the Church Urban Fund)

Within society there is still a widespread stigma attached to Mental Health issues.

MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING POLICY.

We at St. Mary's are aware of Mental Health issues and well-being issues and will seek advice

if and when any issue arises in our parish.

We are a friendly, open and welcoming Church and encourage the congregation to talk to us

about any issues on which they have concerns.

Our Church has a Safeguarding Officer, Mrs Andrea Carlson-Hedges, who attends all training set out

by the diocese and has the knowledge and training to seek help and advice for anyone

who identifies that they need any sort of assistance.

We at St Mary's provide a totally 'no strings attached support' for those that may need or ask for help.

Mrs Andrea Carlson-Hedges

Safeguarding Officer.
